End of Road

Driving around the village of Santubong we came to the end of the road that saw the beach and this modern country villa. The Mount Santubong and the blue sky provided a magnificent backdrop.

White Bougainillea House

Took a left turn before reaching Damai Resort. And came down to the village of Santubong. Followed the road that encircled the village and met this white bougainvillea house. Malay houses here are either constructed as one level or two. Older houses are made from timber, while newer ones of concrete and brick walls. At the far background is the Mount Santubong.

Damai Resort

This hotel apartment nestled snugly on the foothills with lush greenery and peaceful surrounding. The place: Damai Resort, Santubong, 40 minutes drive from Kuching city.

The split level carpark harmonises with the sloping terrain and the tropicalness evident from the coconut palms, green mountains and blue sky.

Damai Beach

Today I took a 40 minutes drive to the coastal area of Kuching. The place is Santubong and at the Damai Beach there we spent the afternoon in the hot sun,warm breeze and peaceful surroundings. The coconut palm with its swaying leaves against the green backdrop of Mount Santubong was a perfect post card image of a tropical vacation.

View of the Santubong Mountain in late afternoon.  This mountain is about 30 minutes drive from Kuching City. There are trails up the mountain for the adventurous and the daring..
